Not all five stars shine. We’ve visited thousands to find the ones that truly do. Why Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River ?

Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is Four Seasons’ new outpost in Bangkok, on a quiet stretch of the Chao Phraya River and with a thoroughly contemporary design by Belgian architect Jean-Michel Gathy.

In 2015, Four Seasons shut down its downtown location. 5 years later, it would reopen, bigger than its predecessor and with a more exclusive location as part of a multi-million-dollar development on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Many of Bangkok’s postcard sights are just a short boat trip away while inside, architect Jean-Michel Gathy imagined a marble-heavy design for a space that feels bright and airy. The hotel also has the most charming courtyard around which therestaurants and bars are arranged while upstairs, the same contemporary atmosphere can be found in the hotel’s 299 rooms, in shades of taupe and grey and with touches like faux ostrich leather, Thai silks and artworks. On the culinary front, the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok is home to the Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant Yu Ting Yuan, French Brasserie Palmier and Italian restaurant Riva del Fiume with terraces that open to river views. The hotel also boasts a bar that recalls the effervescence of 1920s Buenos Aires while the spa with its 30-metre lap pool offers a different kind of downtime.

Waldorf Astoria Beijing

From the outside, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing, with its shiny facade of copper and bronze latticework, makes a pretty good case for being one of the city’s most glamorous hotels, but inside… Ah, that’s where the magic really happens.

Bvlgari Hotel Beijing

Savvy business travelers and A-listers like Bella Hadid can’t get enough of it, and we don’t blame them. After all, from the cosseting interiors of the Bvlgari Hotel Beijing, the perspective on the congested city outside is different.
