At Canaves Oia Santorini, every room enjoys an unobscured view of the Aegean Sea, but there’s so much more to this hotel clinging to the side of a cliff like the steeply raked seating of a theatre. Maybe it’s the oceanfront aesthetic of the hotel in Santorini’s iconic blue and white colors, or maybe it’s the light interiors that provide the perfect accompaniment to the Greek sunshine, but everything here feels understated, unhurried, and almost preternaturally calm. There is nothing to distract you from those views of the clear blue skies, the craggy hillsides, and-of course- the Aegean. Our coup de coeur was the cliffside infinity pool where plunges happen between sips of champagne or some of Greece’s finest wines from the Pool Bar. The Canaves Oia doesn’t miss anything when it comes to delivering the perfect Santorni break, and the barely there but ever-ready staff is a perk in itself.
